Sweet & Savory Summer Cycle

An easy ride to enjoy neighborhood bikeways and local businesses, with free treats to entice you. Great for folks new to the bike or new to the area, the ride will be an easy-paced loop, with stops along the way and returning to the start location. Route will be mostly on low-traffic streets and neighborhood greenways, with some off-street paths. A few sections will be on streets with bike lanes. Total 7.5 miles. The ride is free, but helmets are required. Kids under 16 welcome if accompanied by an adult. Part of the Portland By Cycle series of rides and classes. Foster Tasting Tour
Organized by the Foster Area Business Association
A Family friendly tasting tour that coincides with Second Saturday Art Walk! Come out for tastes of everything from booze to board games. Start out at any of the participating businesses, pick up your passport book, and start tasting! Each participating business will have a special that day for a stamp (sticker) in your book. Collect as many stickers as you can and hand it into one of the hosts to be entered into the contest to win awesome prizes! Summer’s here and the heat has us missing home! The Mercado’s Caribbean crew (Que Bola Cuban Kitchen, Mathilde’s Kitchen – Haitian Cuisine, Puerto Rico – El Coquí, and Que Bacano, Sabor Colombiano) are bringing us the fiesta and sharing a bit of that island culture in PDX. Join us as we keep the party going and continue to celebrate Latinidad in all its forms! A Caribbean celebration with food, drinks, live music, kids activities, community and culture! All ages. All backgrounds.

National Night Out at Kern Park

National Night Out (NNO) is Foster-Powell Neighborhood Association’s biggest event of the year! Please join us and gather with your neighbors! Listen and dance to live music by Foster’s Kids. Check out local businesses and community information tables. Free fun for all ages! NNO is an annual event across the country where neighbors gather in an effort to create community and reduce crime. Please join us at Essex Park to watch Ferdinand! Pre-entertainment starts at 6:30. The movie will begin at dusk. Bodacious will kick off the night at 6:30PM with live music.
