We have been planning on posting these photos and video of our local Foster-Powell resident, Linda Hitt, who is otherwise known as the Portland Violin Chicken. But with so much going on in Foster-Powell, this post kept getting set aside while we announced other news. But based on a post from Linda on Nextdoor.com, we decided to get this posted out quickly. Sadly, Linda is moving out of Portland and the Violin Chicken is on a farewell tour.
We wish Linda and the Violin Chicken best of luck in their new city!

It is official! The Fiddlin’ Chick will be appearing next Saturday from about noon to 2 p.m. at the Multnomah County Fair, Oaks Park in Sellwood as part of her Farewell to Portland tour. Gate admission and parking for the fair is free. She will be roamin’ the grounds.
She will also be appearing on the early morning news, the stations are sending their entertainmant reporters out to do fair previews this week….she will be on channel 12 on Wednesday at about 8:15 a.m hosted by Joe V, on channel 6 on Thursday between 5:15 a.m. and 5:45 hosted by Kohr Harlan, and on channel 2 on Friday at about 5:45 a.m. hosted by Wesleigh Ogle. Set you clocks and get up early. Better yet, catch her at the fair!
