Calling the Shots: Building Vaccine Confidence

The Equi Institute and SE Uplift are excited to host “Calling the Shots! Building Vaccine Confidence” in partnership with the Oregon Health Authority. Due to decades of ongoing abuse that Black, Indigenous and people of color experience within the western medical system in the US, there is no surprise nor judgement of the hesitancy to trust the vaccine. This workshop is a BIPOC focused event where people who are hesitant or just have questions regarding the vaccine can feel safe and in community to ask questions, assess misconceptions and hear from BIPOC medical professionals and community members. When: Wednesday, October 13th from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Panelist: Erin Waters, Dr. Bukhosi, AC Ramirez Accessibility: This event will have ASL Interpreter, Spanish and Vietnamese translators, microphones, and closed captions. The event space has a wheelchair-accessible ramp on the side of the building.
